From March 17th-18th, the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge will attend various events in Paris. This will be Kate’s first visit to the city. They will attend a reception with French youth leaders. A formal, black tie dinner will also be held at the residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador. William and Kate will also attend the France vs. Wales Six Nations Rugby Match at the Stade de Paris. On arrival in Paris on Friday, The Duke and Duchess will meet with French President François Hollande at the Élysée Palace.
Kate has shown her love for French designers in the past years. So far, she’s worn a See by Chloe (back in stock) dress during the Canada tour, Roland Mouret gowns and one dress (on several occasions), Gerard Darel blouse with her green Hobbs suit, Tara Jarmon coat, Paule Ka skirt suit, Altuzarra dress, Paul & Joe cape, and a Vanessa Seward dress.
What are your favorites?
Paule Ka’s new collection is currently available to shop on the UK/EU website. Below are some styles that caught my eye. I love the tweed designs and signature burgundy red color.
Love a red Tara Jarmon coat. Kate owns several red coats and this style is well tailored, straight cut with a nipped in waist and is a beautiful shade of red.
I can see Kate in several designs by GIAMBATTISTA VALLI. This is a brand that I have wanted to see Kate wear for many years. The new SS 2017 designs are similar to Erdem pieces. The red floral gown, white dress, the black floral gown is a beautiful choice for a more formal occasion, red day dress and the pink floral gown are my top picks.
Azzedine Alaia is another designer that I would love to see Kate wear, below is a classic black dress from the brand which is a signature style of theirs. The 3/4 sleeve, fit and flare silhouette is a style Kate tends to favor for daytime dresses.
The Duchess loves a classic, well tailored blazer and I love this style by Balmain.
Kate does wear British designers when on a royal tour or visiting another country. Goat London has several designs in a beautiful French blue color, including the classic Redgrave coat which Kate owns in cream.
Of course, Alexander McQueen is a definite possibility for formal wear on this trip. Below are some looks from the new 2017 collection. The label’s tweed peplum jacket and skirt, double breasted wool and silk peplum coat comes in black and cream.
This floral McQueen gown is really beautiful, the silhouette is a style that Kate tends to favor. The French blue colors are just gorgeous for spring. This fabric also comes in a peplum blouse version.
LK Bennett is Kate’s go-to brand for daywear. Below are some of the new styles recently added to their UK website. The Shauna navy silk dress, Ire red dress, Rosie cream dress, Carrie long white dress, Magda green silk dress and the Eleanor black dress. My personal favorite is the new Selene dress.
For American designers, the Duchess has worn Michael Kors Collection on several occasions. Below are a few looks that caught my eye from the SS 2017 collection. The light blue dress, pink suit jacket and wool gingham coat.
The Duchess loves her suede Gianvito Rossi pumps. Below are new styles from the SS 2017 collection, currently available on the website. The new satin, jewel tone styles are a lighter alternative to suede for the warmer months. View the red, purple, blush sandal and black.
